After reading about alternate forms of energy in our Time For Kids on Monday, I was so excited to see this video posting on Yahoo.

I always like to have a reminder about how lucky I truly am!

We released our last remaining Painted Lady on Thursday. We had a few escape from their enclosure over the weekend. They were found safe and sound by the windows.

A few reminders for next week:

Buggy About Insects!

We have been very excited about the insects who have temporarily moved into our classroom!

While we did not have success with our Monarch larvae, we were lucky to watch our Painted Ladies emerge (not hatch!) from their chrysalis.

We currently have 6 Painted Lady butterflies and are waiting for one more to emerge.

We also are home to crickets, meal worms ~ now becoming Darkling Beetles, wax worms ~ becoming moths, and finally...ants!

Everyone was very happy to discover that the ants had arrived in the mail at the end of the day yesterday.
